Photo Critiques

We will be doing photo critique sessions periodically for meetings.  The rules are as follows.

Rules

  • You must be an active member of the Nashville Photography Club with dues paid up to date.
  • Photos may be uploaded from 5/4/2023 thru 4/13/2024 (time limit may be extended depending on scheduling).  At this time a professional critique session is scheduled for the club's April meeting.  This will occur at our regularly scheduled meeting time and place.
  • Photo can be taken at any time, no restriction on when taken.
  • Photo must adhere to the theme if there is one.  This critique session has an open theme so anything goes.
  • Submissions may not be accepted once the deadline lapses.
  • You may upload two images per member.
  • !! IMAGE SHOULD BE SIZED AT 1200 PIXELS ON THE LONGEST SIDE and no more than 150 DPI (best for web is 72 DPI)!!
  • You can submit photos made with your phone!
  • Images must not show the name of the photographer, agency, publication, or any other identifying information (these details can be included in the metadata of the image, but must not be visible on the image itself).
  • By entering the contest, entrants agree that photos submitted can be posted to the NPC Website (www.nashvillephotographyclub.com) and sent to the photographer doing the critique for the club.
  • Entries will be critiqued anonymously by an outside photographer, but you can identify your image during the critique. All decisions are final.  NPC reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
  • There will not be any voting but comments on images are allowed and encouraged.
  • The critiques will be shared with club members and we plan to record the session for members.
  • We hope members enjoy this opportunity to learn.
